Two checks are better than one!
So Grant has a job at the Social Security Administration in Boston. It actually came about the second day he arrived in Mass and was at first a temporary job as a reader for a blind guy who was undergoing training for a different job. Clear as mud? Ok, so he accepted it and we figured what the heck pay checks are pay checks, this way he can work and get settled in and look for something else. Well the twelve week period ended for the temp job, and guess what? The SSA had no interest in letting Grant get away that easy. No surprise to me they loved him and his people skills and wanted him to be their disability coordinator. This is good for all the obvious reasons, but also because it will allow Grant to apply to inner-agency vacancies whenever he wants to (those are jobs that aren’t open to the public, just people who have worked for the government for at least a year.) So a big fat Congrats about 6 weeks late. We are now officially gainfully employed adults and have shirked the yoke of being lazy grad students, oh but how fun it was. I’m going to stick to my promise of brief but often when it comes to my postings, so will talk about Brian’s visit and post some pictures of that next time.

Rachel....
How I miss thee.
Isn't adult hood fun?! Haha..
No more lazy college studentness for me either. I am still trying to finish my BA in Psychology by taking online classes. Hope that someday I'll get in a Master's program..but for now I am content taking care of Jack at home and being an online student.
I miss you oh so much. call me sometime. Do you think you and Grant could make it for a small birthday party for Jack?! Plans are in the making...his birthday is in April (3rd) so let me know, I'd love to see you or play a visit...Something!
